General Information

The Washington Pain Center is designed specifically for the care of patient in pain.  We understand the physical and emotional toll pain can cause in both the patient as well as the patient’s family.  With this in mind, we will always schedule the patient within 24 to 48 hours of their phone call.  We also pride ourselves in the “personal touch”.  Our telephones are never answered by an answering machine (only for lunch) and only by a professional office staff.

In keeping with the personal touch and the aspect of concierge medicine, patients at the Washington Pain Center never see a physician’s assistant or nurse practitioner.  They are only seen by a physician, Dr. John Dombrowski.  At the end of a consultation and/or procedure, every patient is given Dr. Dombrowski’s cell phone number should there be any questions or concerns.  This personal touch adds to the success of the Washington Pain Center.

The Washington Pain Center also provides care in a multidisciplinary manner.  Appropriate patients are referred to a physical medicine rehabilitation, neurologist, physical therapist or internist for appropriate medical management.  We use a team approach for the care of the patient.  The Washington Pain Center does not have any financial interest in which the patient is being referred.  Many practices in today’s medical environment will refer the patient to a provider in which there is a financial benefit.  We at the Washington Pain Center believe this is unethical.  We only want the best care for the patient.

Office hours:
Our office hours are Monday 9 am - 12 PM, Tuesday 12 PM - 4:00 PM, Wednesday 9 am - 12 PM and on Friday 12 PM - 4:00 PM. In addition, our doctors are available on call 24 hours a day to address your emergency needs.

We pride ourselves on seeing each patient on time. We ask that our patients help us maintain our schedules by being prompt for each visit.  $75.00 will be billed to a patient if they do not cancel the appointment within 24 hours of an appointment.  This fee is to insure that appointments are kept, so that we can provide services to those patients in need.
